I waited for hours for this lion to wake or move — a normal rhythm of wildlife photography- patience and stillness. When he finally rose, he stepped casually across the rocks and climbed onto a tiny pedestal at the top of a kopje formation.
He turned toward us, ears slightly out in an almost endearing way, flicked his tail, and slowly scanned the Serengeti before lying back down.
